Depor Sport published a list of four central defenders that could fill the departure of Colotto; it’s one of the priorities for the transfer window. The same source claims that El Hamdaoui has been offered to Deportivo.

The official paper of the club, Depor Sport, informed on Monday that the priorities for the summer transfer market are a left-back defender, a new striker and a centre back that will cover the departure of Diego Colotto, who last week decided to sign for RCD Espanyol.

About the central defender the club listed four names that have been considered as the candidates for the job: Marc Torrejón (26, Racing Santander), Alejandro Arribas (23, Rayo Vallecano), Carlos Cuellar (30, Aston Villa) and Sidnei Rechel da Silva (23, Benfica)

Torrejón is a former player of RCD Espanyol that left the Catalan club in order to enjoy more minutes; he was transferred to ahead of the season 2009/10 and has been a regular starter with Racing within the last three seasons; the relegation of the Cantabrian club will allow his exit, besides he ends his contract in 2013. In any case Depor would have to pay a transfer for him.

In the cases of Arribas and Cuellar both players are ending their contracts on June 30, though both men have received offers from other clubs. About Sidnei, he’s a Brazilian player that belongs to Benfica SL and that played last season loaned at Beşiktaş, the point is that his agent is Jorge Mendes, which should make easier his arrival.

Depor Sport also informed that Dutch/Moroccan Mounir El Hamdaoui (27, Ajax) has been offered to Deportivo. This is a talented forward that’s trying to leave Ajax due to a conflict with coach Frank de Boer. However this seems to be an impossible operation for Deportivo as Ajax wants a final transfer that should be an unreachable amount for the Galician club, especially since clubs like Blackburn Rovers, Atlético Madrid, Espanyol, Fiorentina, Galatasaray, Genoa, Fulham, and Anzhi Makhachkala are also interested in the player.

Meanwhile, Deporte Campeón (DxT) insists that Depor is still battling to get the services of Diego Costa (23, Atletico Madrid). For now Lendoiro is pending to see Jorge Mendes buying the striker’s rights and then sign him on loan, while Portuguese winger Luís Miguel Afonso ‘Pizzi’ (22, Sporting Braga) still on target.

On the past week Depor Sport was admitting that Antonio López (30, Atletico Madrid) was offered to the club as a possibility for the left-back position, and the same source claimed that there were other two targets for the position coming from Segunda clubs: Carlos González Peña (28, Real Valladolid) and Ruymán Jesús Hernández (25, UD Las Palmas).

Peña is a tough target; he still has one year of contract with Real Valladolid and has been a regular starter with Djukic, while Ruymán is a more accessible choice for the Galician club as he’s ending his contract with Las Palmas on June 30.  Meanwhile, the media in Portugal was still linking Brazilian left-back Evaldo dos Santos (30, Sporting CP) with a move to Deportivo.
