Hard work for the players during the stage at Vilalba; the sessions had been intense and Ze Castro already suffered the first injury. Salomão is also working apart. Both men will miss the first friendly matches of the pre-season.

The first team has been training all week long at the A Magdalena stadium during the stage in Vilalba; there were two training sessions on each day, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the work has been exhausting for the players as they have completed a series of exercises in the attempt to improve their physical condition.

Still, coach Oltra has also used the training sessions in order to prepare the tactics for the Primera campaign; in this sense the team has played two mini friendly games at the end of each second session. The physical work will lower its intensity in the last sessions of the week as the team will start playing the first friendly matches of the pre-season.

The bad news is that Ze Castro picked a new muscular injury (quadriceps) during the first training session held on Wednesday. The Portuguese player had been working apart from the group since the past week as he was still recovering from a hamstring injury that left him out of action during the last matchdays on last season.

On Tuesday he just started to make some exercises with the rest of the team and this new problem will delay his return. It means that the centre back will miss the first friendly matches against Viveiro CF (Friday) and Racing Vilalbés (Sunday).

Another player that will miss the first two friendly games is Diogo Salomão; the winger is still trying to surpass a groin problem that left him out of action for the last matchdays of the past week.  He has been training at the gym and the doctors will decide next week when he will join the normal work. Meanwhile, new signing Evaldo Fabiano will join the group today; he will also skip the first friendly games as he needs time to adapt.
