Nélson Oliveira is followed carefully by the Portuguese media after landing at Deportivo, but the attacker says that he isn’t feeling the pressure; instead he’s focused in making a great season in la liga.

The arrival of Nélson Oliveira, together with the other six Portuguese players at the team, has called the attention of the media in Portugal, now it’s normal to see reporters from the Lusitanian country following the matches of Deportivo, just the mention the fact that Sportpaper Bola was present on Sunday for the friendly game against CD Ourense.

But this interest and coverage isn’t creating any pressure on the player, at least it’s what the striker says “The high expectations are only a motivation to do a better work, but the true is that I don’t feel the pressure. I am only one more player that has arrived in order to help the team, just like the rest. We all together are trying to complete the best possible season.” He told to reporters on Monday after the training session.

He neither wanted to point to a certain number of goals as a target for the new season, “No, I don’t have a target of goals. I want to do the right things, but don’t have a target of goals.” Instead he wants to grow as a footballer, “I am a young player that needs to play in order to grow up and I hope to have minutes at Deportivo, this in order to make a nice tournament, both in an individual and collective sense.”

The Portuguese attacker also believes that the coming week will be crucial in order to complete the preparation for the new season, “This week we are going to have two games against teams from the league, two more direct rivals and I believe we are following the right path. I hope we can make two great games. We have one and a half week before the start of la liga and I think we are on the right direction.”
