Oltra will continue to have the same three casualties for the visit to Mestalla; Ze Castro is training with the group, but won’t be picked for the game. Meanwhile, Valencia’s Pellegrino has a full squad available for the clash.

Deportivo will continue to have the same two casualties due to injury reasons: left winger Diogo Salomão (groin), and right-back Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ (shoulder dislocation). Both players have been trained apart from the group and are already ruled out of the visit to Mestalla in order to play against Valencia CF (Sunday, 23h00 CET).

The Portuguese winger missed the whole pre-season stage and it isn’t clear when he will be back, while it was expected that the Madrilenian side defender was going to be available for this week, but he still feeling pain in the shoulder and his return has been postponed to next week.

Meanwhile, centre back Ze Castro is already recovered from a hamstring problem; actually he’s training with the group since the past week, but the Portuguese player won’t be picked for the game as he’s lacing match fitness. The doctors expect that he will be available for next game at home against Getafe CF.

Striker Riki was dragging an ankle knock from the last liga meeting against CA Osasuna; the Madrilenian attacker was replaced in the second half and trained apart on Monday, but he was already fine by Thursday, so he is available for the coach.

It has called the attention the planning of the trip to Valencia; the club was unable to book a flight, instead the team will travel by bus to Madrid and from there it will take the AVE (high-speed rail) to Valencia, this means a ten-hour trip that will be completed on Saturday. At least the club found a flight for the returning trip to A Coruña.

At Valencia CF, new coach Mauricio Pellegrino has a full squad available for the match against the Galicians. Keeper Vicente Guaita resumed the trainings on Wednesday after recovering from a hand injury, but it’s expected that Diego Alves will continue to defend the goal after his solid job in the past match against Real Madrid.

Centre back Adil Rami was dragging a knee injury and won’t be a starter, but is available and could be on the bench for the game. Left-back Jérémy Mathieu, who netted a goal in Depor’s last visit to Mestalla, has an Achilles problem, but it’s expected that the French will be a starter against Depor.

Striker Nelson Haedo Valdez didn’t complete the training on Wednesday due to a muscular injury, but he should be fit for Sunday; the Paraguayan attacker debuted in the last match against Real Madrid. Finally, to report that Valencia is hoping to secure the capture of left-back defender Aly Cissokho from Olympique Lyon before the end of the week, but in any case he won’t be part of the game against Depor.
