THINKING OF SEVILLA

21 Sep 2012
Tough game for Deportivo, but Oltra could end up facing his first game of the season without having any casualty due to injury. Camuñas is dealing with a muscular problem, but he should be ready for the clash. Riki will be wearing a mask.

Sevilla FC visits the Riazor on Monday (21h30 CET) and for the first time on the season coach Jose Luis Oltra could be facing a match without having any casualty due to injury reasons. Winger/playmaker Javier Camuñas is the only one dragging an injury though it’s expected he will be fit to play on Monday.

The Madrilenian player was replaced on the past game against Granada CF and was later determined that he sustained a muscular injury on his right thigh (adductor muscle). He was training apart on Wednesday and Thursday, but the doctors expect that he will join the group today.

Striker Riki was also replaced on the match played at Los Cármenes; he sustained a nose fracture that forced him to leave the game after just 39 minutes. The most recent scans ruled out the need of a surgery, this since the nasal bones aren’t diverted, so he can play though needing to wear a protection.

On Wednesday and Thursday he was training and wearing a big mask; the Madrilenian attacker isn’t feeling comfortable wearing it and even admitted that "I see better with snorkeling equipment." But the true is that he won’t wear the same mask on Monday, but a simpler one that will allow him to play.

Meanwhile, right-back Laureano Sanabria ´Laure´ and left winger Diogo Salomão received the medical okay on Monday and are finally available for Oltra. Both players have missed the first liga matches, and in the case of the Portuguese winger he has been out since matchday 41 of the past Segunda tournament.

At Sevilla CF, coach Michel could have a full squad available for the trip to the Riazor. Winger Jose Antonio Reyes has missed the last two games after suffering a shoulder sprain in the goalless draw at Granada CF, but he was back on trainings on Thursday and could be picked for the meeting.  It was expected that he would be back on next week, but could be fit to play before the expectations.

Meanwhile, Diego Perotti could have his first minutes on the season; the Argentine winger was operated during the pre-season from a groin problem and later was out due to a Soleus injury, but he has been training since the past week and already stated that he is ready to play.
