MATCHDAY 06: BIG SCORES

There were four big scores on the matchday; only three teams remain undefeated, while RCD Espanyol is the only side missing a victory. Depor have lost two straight games and is closer to relegation.

A lot of goals on matchday 06, four outfits scored at least four times while two teams lost their undefeated condition. The biggest score was the victory of Real Valladolid trashing Rayo Vallecano (6-1). It’s the hugest win for the Violet team in two decades and pushes the team closer to the European seats.

Real Madrid is finally living inside the first six places after demolishing Deportivo (5-1); the Galicians have lost two straight games and are now only one point above the relegation zone. Malaga CF remain third at the standings after trashing Real Betis in one of the many Andalusian derbies on this season (4-0). The team of Manuel Pellegrino represents one of the three teams in la liga that haven’t lost yet any match.

FC Barcelona have won all the games played so far though they suffered a lot against Sevilla CF; the Catalans were losing 2-1 at minute 89, but two late goals gave them the three points. The other team that remains undefeated is Atletico Madrid; Los Colchoneros defeated RCD Espanyol on the road (0-1) and extended their streak to five straight victories, six including the Europa League.

Meanwhile, RCD Mallorca was the other team that lost its undefeated condition on the matchday –the other was Sevilla CF- The Majorcans were reduced to ten men at minute 10 visiting Getafe CF and ended losing 1-0- At least they still living inside the European zone. Valencia CF clinched a refreshing 2-0 victory over Real Zaragoza and they are now closer to the upper positions.

The defeat of RCD Espanyol against Atletico Madrid means that Los Periquitos are the only team in the league that remains winless; they have lost five of the six matches played so far and coach Pochettino and the board of directors of the club have been under fire.

CA Osasuna still living inside the relegation zone, but at least the Navarrans clinched their first victory on the season and they did it brilliantly as it was the fourth big score of the weekend: 4-0 Vs. Levante UD. Valencia club Levante UD is one of the six teams in the league that haven’t added any point playing on the road.

Another team living in dark hours is Athletic Bilbao, the team of Bielsa lost the Basque derby against Real Sociedad (2-0) and they’re now inside the pit. It has been a tense start of season for Athletic, with all kind of problems, including fights between the coach and striker Fernando Llorente. Granada CF left the relegation zone after a 2-1 win over RC Celta. This was the first win on the season for the Andalusians.

MATCHDAY 07: ALL EYES ON THE CLASICO
The visit of Real Madrid to FC Barcelona will be focusing all the attention on the weekend, but there’s another interesting clash, it’s the meeting between two undefeated teams: Malaga CF visiting Atletico Madrid. Meanwhile fourth place Sevilla CF will be visiting RC Celta. Also, Deportivo will pay a visit to Rayo Vallecano, both teams need the points I order to put some distance with the last places.

Fifth place RCD Mallorca will entertain Granada CF; Real Valladolid is doing the same with last place RCD Espanyol; there will be a lot of anxiety at San Mamés as Athletic Bilbao and CA Osasuna will try to escape from the relegation zone. Levante UD and Valencia will star the regional derby of the matchday. Finally, Real Zaragoza is hosting Getafe CF and Real Sociedad visit Real Betis.
