Right winger Bruno Gama gave an interview to journalist Carlos Miranda from Depor Sport; the Portuguese player is unhappy seeing Depor in relegation and want to see the Galician side winning again in la liga.

Bruno Gama is a fixed starter for Oltra, just like he was in big part of the last Segunda season. The winger is wishing to play as soon as possible after Deportivo suffered three straight losses, “We have quality and ambition to go up at the standings. We are conscious that the team needs to improve and are wishing to play in order to win and improve the things; it’s what we all want. We want to revert the current situation.”

He confessed to feel hurt as the team currently lies in relegation, “We don’t like to be in this position, but we are pretty confident in our possibilities, especially in playing good football and return to winning ways. We’re missing a victory in order to cheer us up, and especially to see everything working out again.”

“We cannot forget that the team had a positive start in la liga and it’s a motivation ahead of the future. Truly we didn’t match the expectations within the last games, and for this reason we are living this situation. We want everything to change, to feel fine and compete. What we want is to win and add the points as soon as possible.” He added.

For the Portuguese player Depor have enough quality to overcome the situation, “We knew this part of the season was going to be complicated, also that we were going to meet several rivals from the top of the standings and that it was going to be tough, but you don’t want to see yourself at the bottom. This team has enough players and we already demonstrated our real level, now it’s time to give our best.”

As other players have stated before, Bruno believes that the large number of allowed goals is not only a problem of the defense, “A lot of things have been said about this, because several goals have been allowed within the last matches. We need to improve, but here we all defend and attack, that should remain clear. Sincerely I believe this will help us to improve our football as a team and to fix some errors ahead of the next games.”

In this sense he thinks that’s unfair to blame Evaldo for the latest results, “I don’t want to talk too much about it, but don’t like to hear the criticism. The action of been defending it means something that’s collective, and we need to improve and evolve. A triumph will chill us down and will reaffirm us in what we are doing.”

Asked about the meeting with FC Barcelona, the Vila Verde-born player would be content with a point, “Surely it’s a complicate match, but we are hopeful of obtaining a positive result. A point will be good, we have to try anyway.”

Still, he expects to live a great year at Deportivo, “I arrived to Depor in order to clinch the promotion and play at Primera alongside the best clubs, and since my arrival things have been fine. I want things to continue in the same way and live a great year.”

Finally, Bruno Gama is happy with the treatment coming from the fans, “Since the first day I felt the love of the people and I like it. I´m thankful and it encourage me to do things better. I will always try to improve and help Depor in anything I can. In some games you are better, but in my mind the idea is to work hard. Surely I want to evolve and I can do it.”
