CHANGES FOR SATURDAY

09 Nov 2012
Ayoze and Marchena won’t be ready to play at La Romareda and therefore Oltra is having six casualties for Saturday’s game before Real Zaragoza; the Valencian coach will have to make two changes at the starting lineup.

More problems for Oltra ahead of the clash against Real Zaragoza; both Carlos Marchena and Ayoze Diaz have been ruled out of the game as they weren’t able to surpass a hamstring problem. The defenders picked the injury during the last game against RCD Mallorca and, initially, the doctors expected that they were going to be fine by the end of the week.

But they didn’t train on Wednesday and neither on Thursday, and are now out of the game. Both men have been starters in the scheme of Oltra and therefore are important casualties for the coach; actually Marchena is the only player that had disputed all the minutes in the past ten liga matchdays

It means that Depor’s coach is forced to at least make two modifications thinking of La Romareda; Aythami Artiles should be the one claiming the spot alongside Ze Castro at the centre of the defense. It also means that Roderick Miranda will be picked for the first time to a liga match, this in order to be the alternative on the bench.

More unclear is the situation at the left-back position, Evaldo Fabiano was the starter at the beginning of the season, but he never convinced with his performance and ended replaced by Ayoze. Now Oltra has the choice of recalling the Brazilian or give a chance to Tiago Pinto; the Portuguese has only played in Copa Del Rey. A more remote option is to switch Manuel Pablo to the left sector.

There are other four casualties for the game against Real Zaragoza: striker Nélson Oliveira (muscle injury), left winger Diogo Salomão (Soleus), plus centre midfielder Jesús Vázquez (concussion) and Abel Aguilar (hip). In the end there are twenty players available for the game, so Oltra could easily fill up the list of 18 picked players for the trip to Aragon.
