REARMING MIDFIELD & DEFENSE

17 Nov 2012
Oltra recovers three players for Sunday, the return of Abel Aguilar means that the coach has his four centre midfielders available to face Levante. The return of Marchena and Ayoze are also reinforcing the defensive sector.

The return of Carlos Marchena, Ayoze Diaz and Abel Aguilar will surely cause changes at the lineup of Oltra ahead of the clash against Levante UD. The trio has trained without problems and should be picked on Saturday for the game.

Marchena has a secure place alongside Ze Castro at the centre of the defense, while the other two are fighting for a spot at the starting team. Against Real Zaragoza Tiago Pinto was the starter at the left-back position and, despite the five goals, he left a positive impression, but now the coach could opt in recalling Ayoze.

More complicated is the situation at midfield, Juan Dominguez has refreshed the team since his return to the starting formation and looks like the more natural choice to join Álex Bergantiños at the centre of the pitch, but the Valencian trainer could prefer the experience of Abel Aguilar. André Santos is the fourth centre midfielder at the team and he could even end out of the meeting due to the overbooking.

Up to four changes could be made to the starting team, the final modification is a forced one as Pizzi is suspended for Sunday, and with Diogo Salomão out injured, then the spot should be for Javier Camuñas, who has played in all the games of the season (eleven in liga and one on Copa), but the ex-Villarreal was only a starter in liga in one opportunity: 1-1 at Granada CF (matchday 04).

The rest of the team should be the same of past weeks, Daniel Aranzubia is ready to defend the goal, Laure will surely perform at the right-back position, Bruno Gama will continue attacking from the right-flank, Juan Carlos Valerón is the fixed playmaker of Oltra and Riki will lead the attack.
