Right-back Laure has renewed his contract for three more seasons; the Madrilenian defender was ending his contract in June of 2013, but both parties agreed the terms to extend his career at Deportivo. The deal was announced on Thursday.

Laureano Sanabria ´Laure’ has signed a three-year renewal with Deportivo; the deal was announced on Thursday during a press conference, just a couple of hours before the kick-off in the Copa meeting against RCD Mallorca. Laure, his agent - José Miguel González- and the sporting director of Deportivo, Ernesto Bello, were the three persons in the press conference held at the Riazor.

It was confirmed that the new contract of the right-back defender will last until 2016; Ernesto Bello confirmed the operation and assured that the deal is closed since ten days ago, but that it was announced until today as the player’s agent was out traveling.

Laure talked to reporters and expressed his happiness for signing the renewal, “I’m pretty content for staying here and represent what this shirt means. The club is betting on me, and I'm betting on them at this moment of financial crisis. My renewal is a gesture of mutual confidence.”

Miguel González also confirmed that there were other clubs chasing the player, “Today is a good day for the club. I’m here in order to help the player. There was interest from some clubs inside and outside Spain, we won’t mention the names and it’s also true that the deal is closed since ten days ago. Why we chose here? A change is always a change and he’s feeling content in the city, the club and especially with the fans.”

Laure landed at Deportivo for the season 2007/08; he was one of the reinforcements for Fabril and played once at Primera as he was replacing injured Manuel Pablo for the visit to Villarreal CF. On the following season he was promoted to the first team by ex-coach Lotina and has been a regular starter within the last two seasons.

He’s the second player ending contract on next year that renews his contract with the club, the first one was Álex Bergantiños, this last renewal was announced at the beginning of the month. Without considering the players on loan, there are other eight men ending their contracts with Deportivo in June of 2013: Daniel Aranzubia, Manuel Pablo, Diego Seoane, Ze Castro, Álex Bergantiños, Jesús Vázquez, Saul Fernandez, Riki and Rodolfo Bodipo.

According to the latest report the club is currently negotiating with Riki in order to extend his contract; actually Ernesto Bello admitted that he’s currently negotiating with several of the players ending contract. He also admitted that the club presented a new offer to Seoane in June, but that he hasn’t responded yet. In this sense he described the case, "The negotiating with Seoane is in a difficult point."
