Diogo Salomão could be one the factors that could pull Depor outside of relegation. The Portuguese winger is recovered from an injury and could play in the visit to Atletico, but the player is cautious saying that his time will come.

Diogo Salomão is ready to return after surpassing the latest injury that sidelined him for a month. The Portuguese winger talked to journalist Eugenio Cobas from newspaper La Opinión A Coruña and said that he’s fit to play, “I don’t have any fear. Neither feeling pain nor any inconvenience. Now I’m one hundred percent ready and expect to be fine from here and until the end of the season.”

He received the medical okay since the past week, but wasn’t picked for the match against Real Betis. Now, the casualty of Pizzi for the visit to Atletico Madrid could mark his return into the competition, but he prefers to be cautious, “I am not thinking of that. I want to go step by step and feel fine, which is what matters. I hope to have an opportunity as soon as possible, but I am not worried of playing this Sunday.”

“The injuries are important in order to know yourself, to meet your limitations and when is the right moment to stop as you aren’t fine or if you are feeling tired. The players that never had serious injuries think that they are always fine, but the body isn’t as well as you may think. I hope to return soon, but the important thing is to feel fine and to be at one hundred percent.” He added.

The winger is expecting to make an impact at the team during the second round, “The season is long and there are a lot of things that I can show up in the remaining games. You suffer more from the outside. From the inside you can play your role, but on the sidelines you can only cheer up. You feel impotent as you want to help and cannot do it.”

Last season Salomão had a great start at Segunda, being a normal starter and one of the references in attack, but lost the spot after sustaining an injury and before the pressure of Bruno Gama, who ended the season as the undisputed starter with Andrés Guardado. In the end he played 29 games on the Segunda campaign scoring four goals and bringing three assists. Now the Portuguese player expects to live the opposite scenario. He has only played 9 minutes in one game and targets to help the team in the second part of the league tournament.
