The last signing of the season was presented on Friday at the Playa Club. Kaká will play loaned at Deportivo until the end of the season and the club has a buyout option over the defender. It’s even expected that he will be a starter against Getafe.

Claudiano Bezerra da Silva ‘Kaká’ was presented on Friday during an act that took place at the Playa Club. The Brazilian defender is coming loaned from Hungarian club Videoton and the Galician club secured a buyout option of €300,000 that could be used at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old player is arriving recommended by coach Domingos Pacięncia, who met him before during his stages at Académica de Coimbra and SC Braga. Due to the casualties currently hitting the team it is even expected that he will be a starter against Getafe, this despite only completing one training session with the team.

During the presentation president Lendoiro wished him good luck and said that, “He’s a man of international level, someone who has been in important leagues such as the German or the Portuguese tournaments and is a player that has performed in the Europa League and the Champions League. Let’s hope that his career on here, initially scheduled for four months, could be extended in time.”

Then, Kaká addressed the media and told reporters to be happy for this move, “Depor is a big club and I am really happy for been here. I am also happy for been working with Domingos once again. I like to work with this coach. I arrive to A Coruńa in order to help; we all together must carry forward with the games.”

He also said to be ready to play against Getafe, “I am ready, because I have been training pretty strong. If the coach needs me on the pitch playing then I will be one hundred percent ready. Saturday’s game is important, just like the other games remaining in the schedule.”
