Fernando Vázquez has been training an offensive 4-2-3-1 formation for the meeting against Real Madrid; Valerón and Juan Dominguez could be returning. Evaldo is leaving his place to Ayoze at the left side of the defense.

Fernando Vázquez is completing his first full week at Deportivo and is now heading to make changes for the clash against Real Madrid. Within the last three days he has been working with an offensive lineup, beyond the draw it is for the names of the players. Because both Valerón and Juan Dominguez are on it.

The last time that both players were part of the starting eleven at the same time was for the 0-2 loss against Levante UD (Nov 18). Since that day Oltra opted in the combination Álex Bergantiños-Abel Aguilar, while his successor, Domingos Paciência, preferred the triple pivote figure using more defensive options.

The tested formation includes the return of Ayoze Díaz performing at the left-back position. The last time the Canarian was a starter with Deportivo was for the 0-6 loss visiting Atletico Madrid (Dec 12); actually that was the last time he played a Liga game.

During his press conference Fernando Vázquez said that, despite the tests, it doesn’t mean that this is going to be the lineup to be used against Real Madrid. Still, it is the more probable scenario. Daniel Aranzubia should be defending the goal, Sílvio Azevedo is the only available player for the right-back position and remains covering the position. Ze Castro was dragging an adductor problem, but he was fine on Thursday and should be a starter alongside Carlos Marchena at the centre of the defense, while Ayoze covers the left side.

In this possible lineup there are only two signings made for the present season, the first is Abel Aguilar, the Colombian is joining Juan Dominguez in the pivote functions, the second is Luis Miguel Afonso ´Pizzi´, who will be attacking from the left wing.

The lineup is completed with the presence of Valerón in the playmaking function, Portuguese Bruno Gama at the right wing and Riki at the centre of the attack. The Madrilenian just reached his best scoring mark at Primera after netting his ninth goal on the season in the past game against Sevilla CF.
