Today Depor will play a friendly match against Benfica (22h15) which will be the first serious test for Caparrs' squad and a new opportunity to see the progress of the new signings. In the meantime, the squad has continued to work in Isla Canela. Also, the name of the fourth contender in the Teresa Herrera was finally revealed.

Yesterday, coach Joaqun Caparrs changed the routine of the squad. The players only worked in a single session on the pitch instead of the two sessions on the beach and on the golf course. The absences for injury reasons were Rodolfo Bodipo (toe) and Sebastin Taborda (muscular problems) while Estoyanoff returned to work. Meanwhile, all eyes were on Alvaro Arbeloa who completed his first training without any problem.

Coloccini will join the group on this day, the Argentinean arrived four days later and he has presented his excuses for the delay. The club also confirmed that Jorge Andrade arrives today to Isla Canela. The Portuguese defender will pass the medical exam and later he will continue with his rehabilitation. The curious thing of the day was the presence of Valern's brother, Miguel Angel, who is ending his studies as physical trainer. He will work with the team in Isla Canela until July 31st.

Today the schedule suffers a pause. Deportivo will travel to Vila Real (Portugal) in order to participate in the international competition of Guadiana that started yesterday. Depor will meet Benfica today (22h15) and tomorrow the Galicians will play against Sporting Lisbon.

The club announced that Nacional Montevideo is the fourth participant for the Teresa Herrera. The tournament starts on August 11th and it's the main event for the Centenario celebrations. AC Milan, Atltico Madrid and Deportivo will complete the list of participants.

The club announced a few months ago a special tribute to its heroes. Its the case of mythical SuperDepor, a squad that started the ascend of Deportivo to the first places in Spain. Supposedly this tribute will join the Teresa Herrera as the main events for the Centenario during this summer, but it seems that Depor's officials have forgotten it's own legends. Ex-keeper Liao explained to sportpaper AS his situation: "They call me three years ago in order to know some information about me, since then I don't know anything about it."

Ex-defender Nando is also frustrated with this situation: "We are tired of hearing promises and to see that nothing has been done." A view that's shared by Fran's brother, Jos Ramn: "This issue is in the club's hands, but at some point you want to throw in the towel." Although the club announced that the act will take place, the date of it hasn't been announced.
