Fernando Vázquez is pushed to make three modifications in his lineup for the always complicated visit to the Camp Nou. Oliveira, Insua and Aythami are called to replace Riki, Ze Castro and Marchena. Valerón will probably stay at the lineup.

It isn’t probable that Riki is going to be fit to play for Saturday’s clash against Barcelona; he completed part of the training today, but the doctors of the club are planning to rest him ahead of the Galician Derby on next Friday. He will probably travel to Catalonia, but it isn’t expected that he’s going to be a starter.

So, in the end there are five casualties for the game against FC Barcelona: Riki, Kaká, Laure, Ze Castro and Marchena. The first four are injured and the latter is suspended. The fact is that three of the four centre-backs at the team are out of the team, which is pushing coach Fernando Vázquez to rely in Pablo Insua from Depor B.

On Wednesday and Thursday the 19-year-old youngster was tested alongside Aythami Artiles as the couple for the centre of the defense.  The defensive sector should be completed with the three players that were starters against Rayo Vallecano: Dani Aranzubia covering the goal, Portuguese Sílvio Azevedo performing at the right-back position and Ayoze Diaz playing at the left.

In the tests made on Thursday, the couple for the central positions at midfield was composed by Paulo Assunção and Abel Aguilar, exactly the same combination used in the past game at the Riazor. It was commented that Vázquez was going to rest Valerón for the Galician Derby, but the coach himself said in his press conference that there’s no reason for it, so it is expected that El Flaco is going to be a starter.

In attack, Nélson Oliveira is called to be the main novelty replacing Riki, though Vázquez has the option of moving Pizzi from the left wing and open a spot for Salomão, just like he did against Rayo Vallecano. The 4-2-3-1 formation is completed with Bruno Gama performing on the right wing
