Both Deportivo and Real Zaragoza are playing for a lot of things on Saturday, and both expect to arrive to the meeting without important casualties; at Depor the only exception is Laure, who could end up missing the rest of the season.

Another final for Deportivo as Real Zaragoza visit the Riazor on Saturday (20h00 CET). The Aragonians are marking the frontier of the permanence as they lie four points above the Galicians, so a victory is crucial for both teams and they’re ready to face the meeting having almost all their players available, though for now some key players are skipping the trainings at both sides.

At Deportivo, the week begun with left winger Pizzi and right-back defender Manuel Pablo sidelined due to a muscle problem (quadriceps). Both men skipped Wednesday’s training, but it’s expected that they will be available for Saturday.

The only player expected to miss the game is right-back Laureano Sanabria ´Laure’, he returned to Madrid early in the week and underwent new scans, and this time the club described the injury as “atypical pubalgy”. He will continue to receive physical therapy and won’t go through groin surgery, at least for now, but it isn’t sure if he will be able to play again in the remaining of the season.

Right now there’s optimism surrounding the team; the last two victories have raised the morale and the love of the fans is encouraging the players, but the situation at the standings remain complicated and no more failures are allowed, especially playing at home.

The first team during Wednesday’s training
At Real Zaragoza, two players had to be replaced in the last game against Real Madrid due to injury reasons; midfielder Antonio Galdeano Benítez ‘Apoño’ sustained an adductor injury, but the club expected that he will be fit to play for the match at the Riazor. The other is young striker Rodrigo Rios ‘Rodri’, he came loaned from Barcelona in the winter window and debuted as a starter scoring a goal against Real Madrid; he was replaced due to a muscle problem, but is already training with the team.

On Wednesday, centre-back Glenn Loovens, striker Helder Postiga and midfielder José María Movilla skipped the training session as the trio is dragging knocks from the match against Madrid, but the club expected that they will be fine for Saturday. The only confirmed casualties at this point are centre midfielder Franco Zuculini and winger Javi Alamo, duo that’s already out for the rest of the season due to knee injuries.
