Fernando Vázquez is ready to make two changes at the starting lineup. Pizzi and Sílvio are returning, while the big doubt is who will join Aythami at the centre of the defense. The rest should be the same team that faced Atlético Madrid.

Left winger Pizzi and right-back Sílvio Azevedo are ready to return into Deportivo’s lineup for the game against Real Valladolid. Both men were ineligible for the past game against Atlético Madrid. In the case of the winger he was also dragging an ankle problem, but the Portuguese man joined the trainings on Thursday and coach Fernando Vázquez confirmed that he’s fit to play.

The Galician coach also confirmed that both Manuel Pablo and Ze Castro have been declared fit to play after they missed the first training sessions on the week due to an adductor injury. In this way the only casualties for the game are right-back Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ (groin), centre-midfielder Abel Aguilar, left winger Diogo Salomão (both calf) and centre-back Carlos Marchena (quadriceps).

So, two changes are expected at the starting lineup: Pizzi should be returning to the left wing and Sílvio to the left-back position. The rest should be the same squad of the past meeting at the Riazor, with the doubt of knowing who’s going to play alongside Aythami Artiles at the centre of the defense.

Ze Castro was the chosen one against Atlético, but in the previous two meetings the job was for Brazilian Kaká.  The rest of the defense should be the same one, with Daniel Aranzubia defending the goal and Manuel Pablo performing at the right-back position.

With Colombian Abel Aguilar off, the spots at midfield should be for Galicians Álex Bergantiños and Juan Dominguez. The right wing is reserved for Bruno Gama, who’s close to complete a full Primera season playing all the games as a starter. Only other three field players in la liga have this perfect mark: Valladolid’s Antonio Rukavina, Granada’s Mikel Rico and Zaragoza’s Paco Montañes.

In attack, Vázquez is recovering the couple Pizzi-Riki, a combination that has been one of the main sources for the goals. Finally, Juan Carlos Valerón will be the playmaker in the scheme.  It will be the game number 30 for El Flaco on this Primera season. It’s just the fifth time he reaches this mark at Depor. He did it too in the Primera campaigns 2004/05 (38), 2001/02 (36), 2003/04 (34) and 2000/01 (31).
