Fernando Vázquez recovers Abel Aguilar for the crucial game against RCD Espanyol; this means that the Galician trainer is able to present almost the fixed team of recent matches. Aranzubia will play his game number 300 at Primera.

The return of Abel Aguilar means that coach Fernando Vázquez is able to repeat almost completely the lineup of recent matches, only Carlos Marchena is missing from the team that began the winning streak that momentarily pulled the team out of relegation.

Another of the news for the game is that goalkeeper Daniel Aranzubia will complete the game number 300 at Primera División; there are other two players at the starting formation that already surpassed this mark: Juan Carlos Valerón (387) and Manuel Pablo (339).

The game is extremely important as Deportivo need the three points and then wait and see the other results, in this sense there isn’t any expected surprise at the starting formation. Vázquez told to reporters that he’s open to make changes, including switching the system into a 4-4-2, but this is unlikely to occur.

So, it should be the traditional 4-2-3-1 figure; Aranzubia remains at the goal, Manuel Pablo and Sílvio will be covering the sides at defense, while Ze Castro, already recovered from the gastroenteritis, and Aythami Artiles are the centre-backs.

Juan Dominguez should be joining Abel Aguilar at midfield territory; the Colombian is one of the seven players that had accumulated 2,000 or more minutes on the liga campaign (2,168). The others six are Bruno Gama (2,921), Aranzubia (2,814), Pizzi (2,819), Riki (2,448), Álex Bergantiños (2,025) and Valerón (2,016).

In attack, Bruno Gama and Pizzi will attack from the wings, Valerón will be the playmaker in the formation and Riki the central attacker. This quartet has scored 27 of the 44 goals netted by Depor on the season; they will be responsible of conquering the goals in this game, but at the same time must be careful with the fouls as two of them already have four yellow cards (Riki & Bruno Gama)

Left winger Diogo Salomão won’t be picked for the game as the Portuguese remains sidelined with a calf injury. Fernando Vázquez has twenty-one available players and possible will pick all of them for Sunday’s game, just as he did for the meeting against Real Valladolid.
