CAPARROS IS SATISFIED WITH HIS SQUAD

14 Aug 2006
Joaqu?n Caparr??s is happy with the work done by his team in the Teresa Herrera, especially with the performance showed against Milan. However, the Utrera-born coach knows that his men still have to learn a lot. He also commented about the situation of Duscher in the club.

Deportivo's coach commented his impressions about the confrontation against the Italians: "During the first half, we were putting pressure against Milan, during the second one we retreated our position and controlled the rhythm of the game. This is a good signal about the progress of the team. The important thing at the end, is that the squad conquered the Teresa Herrera of the centenario. Let's see if we can start giving some joy to the fans."

However, Caparr??s warned about any enthusiastic thought: "We must have a solid base, and let's hope that the building will not fall down right now. The sensations are good and this victory is helping us to reinforce our concepts, but we must continue working. It's a long way to walk."

The Sevillan coach also expects to see more fans in Riazor during the regular season: "The fans were spectacular during the first game and it was better during the final. Now the best marketing strategy are the rumours, let's hope that the people that didn't come will hear the comments made by the ones that saw the games. They should know that we have players with hope, humility and ambition.

Caparr??s also had eulogies for Coloccini and also explained the situation with Duscher: "I don't like to make individual comments about the players, but I must emphasise the exceptional work made by Coloccini, he played in a position that's new for him. About the presence of Duscher on the bench, we wanted to demonstrate that the player is with us 100%. Duscher is there, he has been followed by other clubs, but if nothing happens, we need him in the squad."

Finally, Depor's coach defended the project that the club is implementing: "When the big clubs start a renovation, they have to sell, and we can't be shaking just because we are leaving out some players that were important in the past. The crucial thing is to know how to invest your resources."
