Sunday’s game is a puzzle out of parts for Fernando Vázquez. The absentees are reducing the number of options at the first team. There are problems at the centre of the defense, midfield and the playmaking function.

More bad news on Friday as the second appeal on Álex Bergantiños was rejected, which increased the number of casualties for Sunday’s game from three to four. This since Laure is also suspended, while Marchena (adductor) and Álvaro Lemos (knee) are out injured.

Meanwhile, Pablo Insua remains doubtful with a hamstring injury and will undergo a test on Saturday in order to determine if he’s fit to play. On Friday the Galician defender told to reporters that he expects to be fine. In the end Depor could end with only fourteen players available at the first team.

It might be enough to present a starting eleven, but it rest depth to the bench. Beyond that, there are problems in some specific positions like the centre of the defense and midfield. If Insua isn’t recovered in time then coach Fernando Vázquez will have to pull Uxío Marcos from Fabril in order to join Kaká at the central positions.

The coach already explained that Diego Seoane will have an opportunity to perform at the right side of the defense, while Manuel Pablo should stay at the left. The next problem is located at midfield territory. With Álex out and Cezary Wilk only fit top play for thirty minutes it turns out that there’s no one available for the defensive task, at least  to perform on his natural position. On Thursday the coach even tested with Luisinho on this task.

The other solutions are to improvise and even simply perform with a 4-1-4-1 figure, leaving Juan Dominguez alone in the sector. A solid possibility is to delay the position of Juan Carlos and later move Rudy to the playmaking function, leaving both Luisinho and Arizmendi on the wings.

Another choice is to play with a 4-4-2 figure, which would mean to play with Borja Bastón and Luis Fernández at the same time. Finally, another option is to play with Kaká as an improvised centre midfielder, but it’s only possible if Insua is fit to play.
