KAKÁ LEAVES DEPORTIVO

28 Jan 2014
Brazilian Kaká no longer belongs to Deportivo. He rescinded his contract on Monday and the club posted his good-bye message. Depor could announce in the coming days a new signing for the centre of the defense.

As it was expected centre-back Claudiano Bezerra ‘Kaká’ no longer belongs to Deportivo. He rescinded his contract on Monday and will probably return to Apoel FC. The Brazilian asked for an exit due to personal issues and the club postponed it until this week as Fernando Vázquez needed a centre-back for the past game against Córdoba CF.

The club posted his good-bye message at canaldeportivo.com, ”"Many thanks to the fans and all the people from Depor. I leave because these are issues of life. "I was happy for feeling the love of the fans. I leave and hope the club can clinch the goal of promotion."

One of the conditions to see him leaving was to get a replacement, so now that the exit was officially announced it’s expected the club will sign a new reinforcement for the centre of the defense. Additionally, the club will try to hire another offensive player, though it will depend of the authorization by the LFP.

Kaká arrived to Depor one year ago and it was a petition of former coach Domingos Pacięncia, later Fernando Vázquez asked for his renewal and he signed a contract lasting until 2015, though in this season he was the third centre back at the team as the Galician tactician preferred the options of Carlos Marchena and Pablo Insua.
