Once again Deportivo will have plenty of choices at the moment of making the lineup, because Lux and Lemos are the only players out of the next game. The rival is having one casualty at the normal lineup of coach Bordalás.

Another tranquil week at Abegondo. Deportivo La Coruña visit AD Alcorcón on Sunday (Santo Domingo, 12h00 CET) and coach Fernando Vázquez isn’t having too many worries with the physical condition of the players.

Three players were dragging knocks from the past game against Sporting Gijón: winger Diogo Salomão (muscular), striker Borja Bastón (Achilles) & left back Luisinho (ankle). The trio skipped the first training session of the week, but by Wednesday they were already recovered and working with the rest of the group, so they’re available for Sunday.

The only players that remain sidelined are goalkeeper German Lux and winger Álvaro Lemos. The Argentine goalkeeper had extra work on this week as he completed two sessions per day, even working during the free day of the team. It’s expected that he will receive the medical okay to play on next week, meaning he would be available for the next game against Hércules CF.

Meanwhile, Lemos is also progressing and is already completing the training sessions. Fernando Vázquez announced on Wednesday that the 20-year-old player is going to receive the medical okay on this or next week, and that he will continue to train with the first team while he plays with Fabril in the attempt to gain match fitness.

Winger Ibrahim Sissoko also had extra work on the week and completed two sessions per day, including in the free day of the group. The only Fabril’s players working with the first squad are playmaker Bicho plus keepers Marc Martinez and David Gómez, the latter didn’t end Wednesday’s training after a collision with striker Toché, he was off on Thursday and it isn’t clear if he will be available for Depor B during the weekend.

Intense week for Lux, who could be available on next week

At AD Alcorcón, coach José Bordalás returned three weeks ago after coaching the team on last season. The Madrilenians have been struggling in the league and just escaped from the relegation zone on last weekend after the 0-2 win at SD Ponferradina, the first victory of the team with Bordalás on board.

The coach seems open to repeat the 4-2-3-1 formation of last Sunday, but has the casualty of centre midfielder Sergio Mora Sánchez, who’s suspended with five yellow cards. At the same time centre-back Chema Rodriguez is returning from suspension.

The confirmed casualties for the game are wingers Fernando Sales (knee) and Christian Alfonso (meniscus). Ex-Depor Javito, who’s the current Pichichi at the team with four goals scored, is set to be a starter in the match.
