Juan Carlos is doubtful and Laure is suspended, but Luisinho and Lux are full recovered for the match at Mendizorroza. The rival doesn’t have important injury concerns ahead of the game.

Intense week for Deportivo ahead of the visit to Deportivo Alavés (Mendizorroza, Sunday, 18h15 CET). The training sessions were long and charged with a lot of physical exercises. Two players were dragging problems from the past game against CD Lugo.  Coach Fernando Vázquez has tested three different lineups and lived the week intensely, on Wednesday he didn’t look too happy as he was constantly correcting the players.

Left-back/winger Luisinho had a foot injury and skipped Tuesday’s training, but one day later he was recovered and completed the full session. Meanwhile, keeper German Lux sustained a back injury during the collision with Juan Dominguez at the Anxo Carro and missed the first two sessions, but he was already fine by Thursday. The duo is expected to be part of the starting eleven on Sunday.

But Vázquez will have casualties for the game. Right-back Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ is suspended after picking a fifth yellow card on the season, and on Thursday playmaker Juan Carlos sustained an ankle sprain after a play with Albert Lopo. It’s unlikely that the Galician player will be available for Sunday.

In this way the coach could have three casualties for the meeting, the other men out is winger Diogo Salomão (knee). During the week two players of Deportivo B were part of the training sessions: winger Álvaro Lemos and playmaker Bicho.

At Deportivo Alavés, coach Alberto López is facing a tough situation at the standings as his team is struggling to survive, currently the Basque outfit is tied in points with last place Hércules CF, though only three points below the safety.

There are three doubtful players for Sunday: Centre-back/midfielder Álex Ortiz (ankle sprain), centre-back Pepe Mora (muscle strain) and winger Fernando Macedo ‘Nano’ (hamstring). Mora & Ortiz are the only men on this short list with a real chances of been available for the meeting.

But the true is that trio isn’t part of the more used men by López. In this sense the coach is able to present any of the last three lineups used in liga, including the ones used in the victories over Recreativo de Huelva (2-0) and RCD Mallorca (1-0).
