Crucial game for Deportivo in which Fernando Vázquez is facing problems as he’s missing three players; besides Sissoko is doubtful. The rival is living a complicate moment as it hasn’t been able to certify the permanence.

Round two. After failing in Soria, Deportivo return to the Riazor in order to face Real Jaén (Saturday, 19h00 CET). It’s the last home game on the season and one point is enough to clinch the promotion to Primera División. The club is expecting for a sold out game, it should have a bigger attendance compared to the meetings against CD Lugo (30,000, matchday 16) and SD Eibar (26,651, matchday 39).

After a couple of months without injury concerns in which there were enough resources at the squad, now coach Fernando Vázquez is facing problems to prepare this game. Winger Antonio Núñez was sent off and centre-back Albert Lopo picked the fifth yellow card of the season during the last game against CD Numancia, both players were suspended for one match.

During that same game, centre midfielder Cezary Wilk was going to be a starter, but he got injured during the warming up. The scans confirmed that he sustained a calf strain (Soleus) on his right leg, it means a tear of one of the calf muscles located in the back of the lower leg. The Polish player will be off for the last two games on the season.

There were more problems in Soria, playmaker Ibrahim Sissoko and striker Diego Ifrán were replaced dragging physical problems. The Uruguayan striker was already recovered by Tuesday, but the Ivorian man sustained a knock on the left knee and skipped the training sessions held on Tuesday and Wednesday. The coaching staff hopes that he will be available for the game, but the true is that he isn’t evolving as it was expected. Luisinho didn’t end the session on Wednesday due to a knock, but it was only a precatory measure.

The only good news so far is that Juan Dominguez is returning from a suspension. In this way, Vázquez has worked with only 17 players from the first team during the training sessions. If in the end Sissoko is unable to play then the coach will have to pick a player from Fabril. Tomorrow, the B squad of Deportivo will train for the last time on this season, but playmaker Bicho, winger Álvaro Lemos and keeper Marc Martínez will remain training with the first team. The trio has worked with the group throughout this week.

At Real Jaén, the team lost a great opportunity to practically secure the permanence after losing at home before direct rival SD Ponferradina (0-1). Now they only lie two points above the pit and arrive to A Coruña with the feeling that they are forced to win, after all a victory of Real Madrid Castilla (hosting CE Sabadell CF) and RCD Mallorca (hosting UD Las Palmas) will pull them into relegation –they lost the series before Castilla-

Coach Manolo Herrero faced injury problems at the start of the year, which complicated the situation at the beginning of the second round, but for the game at the Riazor he only has two casualties: defender Álex Cruz and midfielder Jozabed Sánchez.

Left-back Álex Cruz is out since April after sustaining a serious knee injury during a training session. Jozabed is a skillful winger that gave a lot of problems to Depor during the Copa Del Rey match; he’s out after sustaining a clavicle fracture (broken collarbone) a fortnight ago during a training session.
