The last week of the season is the shortest one at Deportivo; after resting for two days and all the celebrations for clinching the promotion, the first team will only complete three training sessions ahead of the visit to Girona FC (Montilivi, Saturday, 18h30 CET).

Coach Fernando Vázquez is almost having a full squad available for the meeting. Centre-back Albert Lopo and winger Antonio Núñez are returning from suspension, so the only players out fur injury reasons are centre midfielder Cezary Wilk (calf strain) and winger Diogo Salomão (knee). The club informed that the Polish midfielder will start his vacation period on Thursday and that he will return before the rest in order to continue with his recovery process –probably at the middle of July-

Meanwhile, winger/playmaker Ibrahim Sissoko only completed the first part of Wednesday’s session, because he still dragging a knock on the knee, though it’s expected that the Ivorian will be available for Saturday. Playmaker Juan Carlos was replaced during the past game against Real Jaén with a muscle problem, but he was already fine on Wednesday.

Vázquez could be tempted to make some changes, though he already said that Deportivo will try to win the game in order to clinch the title. For it SD Eibar should fail to defeat CD Numancia on the road, a game that will be played one day later. The changes could include the presence of the three Fabril’s players that remain training with the team: playmaker Bicho winger Álvaro Lemos and goalkeeper Marc Martínez.

At Girona FC, last weekend the team clinched a valuable 0-1 win visiting CD Mirandés, but the Catalans remain in relegation and need a victory in the last game of the season, plus a combination of results, to secure the permanence. The club is trying to have a full stadium for the meeting and for this it has copied the measure of Depor as all the socios have the privilege to buy an extra ticket for five euros.

Coach Pablo Machín is having two doubts for the game: centre midfielders Moisés Hurtado (Soleus) and Agostinho Cá (ankle sprain), however it shouldn’t affect the plans for the game as both men have barely played on this season (two league appearances for Hurtado and one for Cá.

At the same time, Machín is recovering centre midfielder Bruno Herrero and left-back David García, due that missed the last games due to muscle problems, while playmaker Jandro Castro is returning from suspension.
