Deportivo already find a replacement for Fernando Vázquez. The new coach is Víctor Fernández, an Aragonian trainer with a large experience in Spain. He landed in A Coruña on Thursday and was confirmed hours later.

The new coach of RC Deportivo is Víctor Fernández. The Aragonian man landed in A Coruña on Thursday in order to negotiate with the club’s officials and hours later was confirmed as the new boss that will direct the first team ahead of the season 2014/15. For now he signs for only one season.

Fernández is a coach with a large experience in Spain; his best moments were lived at Real Zaragoza, club that he directed in nine different seasons. At that team he clinched the Copa Del Rey in 1994 and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup in 1995.

His last two jobs had mixed results. In 2010, he was chosen as the man that should rescue Real Betis and lead them to the promotion at Segunda, but could only end fourth. In January of 2013, he was named as the head coach of KAA Gent. He clinched good results at the beginning and pulled the team out of relegation problems, but later things got worse and he was fired in September.

The Aragonian man is described as a coach that likes offensive football and his mean weakness is the physical problems suffered by his teams during the second rounds. Víctor Fernández is the 61th coach in the history of Deportivo and the number 14th since 1987.
