Deportivo will play nine friendly games before debuting in the Primera season. The LFP World Challenge involves two games in Colombia, there are two matches in Portugal and the rest are games in near stadiums, including the Teresa Herrera.

The pre-season 2014/15 is complete for Deportivo. The team will play nine friendly games in almost a month. There will three phases. In the first the Galician team, now coached by Víctor Fernández, will travel to South America as part of the LFP World Challenge.

There will be two matches in Colombia facing Independiente de Santa Fé and Deportivo Cali. This trip will rest time to the adaptation process with the new coach, because the team will only have one week of trainings at Abegondo before making the long trip. The coaching staff may not like it, but it’s the price to pay in order to gain more money.

A second phase begins with the team returning to Spain, Los Blanquiazules will travel to Portugal in order to play twice in a matter of three days. First facing Académica de Coimbra and then Sporting Braga, both clubs from the LIGA Zon Sagres.

Then the final phase in the pre-season consists in playing five matches in more near places. The stage in Vilalba was cancelled due to the South America tour, but Depor will still play a game there as it faces Racing de Ferrol at the Pinguela stadium.

Depor will only play twice at the Riazor during the pre-season, and it will be for the Teresa Herrera tournament. Uruguayan outfit Nacional de Montevideo is the first rival and the second will be either Sporting Gijón or Portuguese Sporting Clube de Portugal.

The pre-season is closed with the derby against RC Celta and the visit to Segunda outfit SD Ponferradina, the latter is taking place one week before debuting in the Primera season. On the previous pre-season Depor also played nine games, but the fixture was much different as the team only faced low-league rivals plus three games against Portuguese teams.
