The third signing for the season 2014/15 is Lucas Pérez. The winger finally completed his move to Depor after all the problems to close the loan deal. He will undergo the medicals today and will join the trainings.

The soap opera for Lucas Pérez is finally over. The winger arrived last Friday to A Coruña after a tough negotiating to allow his departure from Greek club PAOK FC, after a couple of weeks it was agreed a loan spell lasting one season and including a buyout option. It wasn’t officially announced, but the comment is that the option is for €2.5 million.

In this way the Galician player arrived to A Coruña on last Friday, but a new conflict emerged as his previous club, FK Karpaty Lviv, owes the 30% of the player’s right and was requesting for compensation, which opened again the negotiations. Everything was solved on Thursday and the player, who has been training apart since his arrival, can now join the first team.

He will undergo the medicals during the morning and will later join the trainings at Abegondo. The winger is the third signing ahead of the season 2014/15 after the arrivals of left-back Roberto Canella and winger Isaac Cuenca.

Lucas is an old wish of Deportivo; he was close to join the club during the era with Lendoiro and now will play at the Riazor, a team that he repeatedly described as “his club.” He’s a versatile winger that normally performs on the right wing, but that can also cover the role of second striker and central forward.
