THE STAGE IN PORTUGAL

Deportivo will spend three days in Portugal and will play two more friendly games. Lucas Pérez and Isaac Cuenca won’t be able to debut as they remain injured. Fariña and José Rodríguez will make their debut. Seven lads from Fabril are part of the trip.

Today Deportivo travel to Portugal in a mini stage that will bring the next two friendly games. The first is on Thursday facing Académica de Coimbra (Efafel stadium, 22h00 CET) and the other on Saturday against SC Braga (Axa stadium, 20h00 CET)

Coach Víctor Fernández picked 23 players for the trip, seven of them are Fabril’s members. New signings Lucas Pérez (ankle sprain) and Isaac Cuenca (quadriceps) remain sidelined and won’t have the chance to debut, but José Rodríguez and Luis Fariña were picked and will have their first minutes with the Blanquiazul shirt.

Playmaker Juan Carlos (psoas muscle) and goalkeeper German Lux (quadriceps) are out of the mini-stage, but centre-back Pablo Insua passed a late test on Wednesday and was included into the trip. The seven Fabril’s members making the trip are Iago López, Róber, Dani Iglesias, Remeseiro, Miguel Cardoso, Jorge Fernández & David Gómez.
