About his expectations at Deportivo; the Portuguese player said that, “I came here in order to help the team and my expectations are to play a lot, but the most important thing is to help the team in order to reach the goals, inside and outside the pitch. Besides, one of my personal goals is to represent my national team.”

Finally, Cavaleiro commented that Silvio, Pizzi, Luisinho and Salomão talked great things of Deportivo, “They talked to me and gave me some information on Depor, a tea with history and great fans. I hope things will work out on this year.”

Before the first training session on the day, coach Víctor Fernández commented on what he expects from the player, “He’s a different attacker to what we already have. His virtue is the versatility, because he can move across the attacking line; he can play on the right and the left and can be a resource as a forward during a counterattack. He’s a lad with will and hope. I am confident with his arrival.”
