Víctor Fernández is ready to use a 4-3-3 lineup for the debut in liga. There’s also the chance that he can keep the 4-2-3-1, the thing is that he used the first scheme within the two tests made during the training sessions.

Haris Medunjanin or Isaac Cuenca. That’s the doubt in the head of Víctor Fernández, who’s preparing his official debut at Deportivo during the visit to Granada CF. Before the game against SD Ponferradina, the coach assured that the lineup for the last friendly of the pre-season was going to be the base for the first lineup in liga.

And in the end the coach presented a 4-2-3-1 formation with Cuenca performing on the right wing. But during the two training sessions held at Abegondo in which the lineup was tested –Tuesday and Wednesday- Víctor opted in allowing the presence of Medunjanin, which led to switch the system into a 4-3-3.

The draw can also be interpreted as a 4-1-4-1 as the Bosnian is the link between defense and midfield. Still, he’s only training since Friday and the same player admitted that’s he’s only at the 80%, so there’s the doubt if this will be the final draw to be used for the match at Los Cármenes.

Another doubt is located at the centre of the defense, both Albert Lopo (muscle) and Pablo Insua (ankle) are dragging issues, which would move the coach to improvise with the presence of Álex Bergantiños or Fabril’s Iago López, though it’s expected that both men could be fit to play.

The lineup tested during the trainings has four new signings on. German Lux was the goalkeeper. Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ was performing on the right side of the defense. The only two centre-backs at the team, Pablo Insua and Albert Lopo, covered the central positions, while the first signing that appears in the draw is Roberto Canella performing on the left.

The trio of midfielders is formed by José Rodriguez, Haris Medunjanin and Juan Dominguez. Argentine Luis Fariña is moved to the right wing, with Luisinho attacking from the left and José Verdú ‘Toché’ performs at the centre of the attack

Depor’s first team will complete a last training session on Friday (Abegondo, 18h00 CET), after it the coach will release the first list of picked players and he will also offer his first press conference previous to a league match. A novelty is that the players will travel to Andalusia on the same day of the game.
