Two important games in a matter of four days; Fariña remains doubtful for Saturday, while Insua and Lucas Pérez are out of the first meeting, but not of the derby with RC Celta. José Rodriguez won’t play against Real Madrid.

Very busy week for Deportivo; in only four days the team has to face two games, and those meetings are among the more expected ones on this season. Firstly Depor will host Real Madrid (Saturday, Riazor, 16h00 CET); later it will visit RC Celta for the first Galician derby on the campaign (Tuesday, Balaídos, 22h00 CET).

Coach Víctor Fernández will have four confirmed casualties for the first game. Centre midfielder José Rodriguez cannot play due to a clause in his loan contract with his parent club, while wingers Diogo Salomão (knee) and Lucas Pérez (quadriceps) plus centre-back Pablo Insua (ankle) are out injured.

On Wednesday’s session, the players that didn’t take part of the match against SD Eibar played a training match against Fabril and they lost 1-2. The goal of the first team was scored by Toché, while Dani Iglesias and Cañi scored for Deportivo B.

Playmaker Luis Fariña (hip) trained apart on Wednesday and didn’t took part of the training match, but the Argentine man isn’t out yet for the game against Real Madrid as he will be assessed on Friday in order to determine if he will be fit.  In the cases of Lucas Pérez and Pablo Insua, the duo won’t play against the Madrilenians, but they aren’t out of the Galician derby against RC Celta.

Insua & Salomão were working apart on Wednesday

Fariña is doubtful for Saturday

On Wednesday, the men that didn’t play Vs. Eibar took part of a training game against Fabril

The first rival in this busy week is Real Madrid; the last two defeats in liga put a lot of pressure over coach Carlo Ancelotti, though it was partially released in midweek after the 5-1 over FC Basel playing for the UEFA Champions League.

On Tuesday, Los Blancos will face Elche CF at the Bernabeú and it isn’t clear if the coach will rest players for the coming two games. Cristiano Ronaldo  has been dragging physical problems since last campaign, but the media doesn’t expect to see any of the “stars” out of the next two games as the team needs the points in this start of season.

There are two confirmed casualties for the game at the Riazor. Centre midfielder Sami Khedira is out for a while after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee, while winger/playmaker Jesé Rodríguez is out since last season due to a knee ligaments injury; it’s expected that he will be back in November.

Who will be ready to play is right-back Dani Carvajal, he picked a hamstring injury when he was concentrated with the national team of Spain and later missed the games with Atlético Madrid and FC Basel, but joined the trainings on Wednesday and it’s expected that the Madrilenian will play against Depor

Meanwhile, RC Celta are also having a complicate week; on Saturday they have to visit the current champion Atlético Madrid and just three days later are welcoming Deportivo. Coach Eduardo Berizzo is having one confirmed casualty and one doubtful player for the derby.

The player that will miss the game with Deportivo is skipper Borja Oubiña, the centre midfielder is out until the end of the year after undergoing a new knee surgery.  Meanwhile, right winger Augusto Fernández picked a hamstring injury when he was concentrated with Argentina, he joined the trainings on this week, but won’t play against Atlético. However, there’s the chance he could be fit for the derby.

Centre-back Gustavo Cabral and striker Nolito have been dragging muscle problems. They played against Real Sociedad and skipped the first training on this week, but by Wednesday both men were already working with the group. New signing Pablo Hernández debuted on last week against Real Sociedad, the midfielder was off for almost two months due to a stress fracture.
