MATCHDAY 07: THE GOALS RETURNED TO PRIMERA

09 Oct 2014
It was the second matchday with more goals at liga BBVA; there were two big victories and a 3-3 draw. Deportivo is now the bottom team, though only three points separate the last seven positions.

The goals returned to Primera División after two weeks with a poor scoring mark. The 37 goals scored during last weekend represent the second best record on the current season, only improved by the 41 goals of matchday 04.

FC Barcelona continued with its victorious campaign and clinched a 0-2 win visiting Rayo Vallecano; the Catalans haven’t even conceded a goal after seven matchdays. Valencia CF also remain on fire and once again won a game scoring three goals, this time they only needed 13 minutes to beat current champions Atlético Madrid at Mestalla (3-1).

Sevilla CF remain third after trashing RC Deportivo at the Sánchez Pizjuán (4-1), another team at the top with a big win was Real Madrid; Los Blancos defeated Athletic Club with a 4-0 score playing at the Bernabeú. Meanwhile, RC Celta ended their winning streak falling at home before Villarreal (1-3). RCD Espanyol approached the European zone after their 2-0 home victory before Real Sociedad. Now, only FC Barcelona and Valencia CF remain undefeated in the league.

Malaga clinched a refreshing 2-1 win hosting Granada CF and Elche CF got a point visiting UD Almeria (2-2).
