Calm week at Abegondo; the tension accumulated after four straight defeats was released after the refreshing victory over Valencia CF. The pitch environment during the trainings has been more relaxed, something that was noticed in the face of the players during the preparations of the game against RCD Espanyol (Cornellà-El Prat, Sunday, 17h0 CET).

There are also more good news. Centre midfielder Juan Dominguez and left-back defender Roberto Canella (both hamstring injuries) joined the trainings on this week and received the medical okay to play. So, the only players out fir injury reasons are striker Hélder Postiga (hamstring) and winger Diogo Salomão (knee).

Postiga trained apart during the major part of the week and joined the group on Thursday, but he won’t be risked for the game. He will be assessed on next week. In the case of Salomão, he continues to train alongside the rest of the group and soon will receive the medical okay to play.

In this way, coach Víctor Fernandez has 23 of his 25 players available for the meeting in Barcelona. Once again there were Fabril’s players working with the first team, in this week the opportunity was for centre-back Iago García and striker Dani Iglesias. Iago García suffered a knee fracture a fortnight ago, but won’t be operated, reason why he already joined the trainings.
