Deportivo B already have a reinforcement for the winter window: striker Francis Massampu. He’s already training with the B squad and will be inscribed in January. The team is the sixth best scorer in the Galician group of Tercera.

Francis Kama Massampu (22-year-old) arrived to Deportivo at the beginning of the season, but couldn’t be inscribed with the B squad due to a problem with his transfer. What happened is that he was inscribed as a first team member in his previous team, Valenciennes FC, and it was impossible for the club to inscribe him as a B team member in Spain. Now the issue is solved and could be inscribed during the winter window.

The striker stayed training with the B team and even had the chance to train with the first squad in a couple of opportunities. Last week he was part of the friendly game of Deportivo B against Atlético Arteixo and scored a hat-trick in the 6-3 win disputed in Abegondo.

At the end of October coach Manu Mosquera talked to Radio Onda Cero and said great things about the striker, “He is training with us and is promising. What happens is that he was inscribed as a first team player (in France) and it’s complicated to make the inscription on here. Ernesto Bello and Richard [Barral] are working on that and let’s see what we decide. He would be a great signing for January.”

Massampu is French and began his professional career playing for the U-19 squad of FC Mantes. In May 2010, he signed with professional club Valenciennes FC and spent the first two months at the B squad. In September of that year the striker made his professional debut in a Coupe de la Ligue match against Nîmes Olympique appearing as a substitute.

The true is that he only had a few opportunities at Valenciennes FC, last season he scored five goals in twelve appearances with the B squad performing in CFA2-B (equivalent to Segunda B) and only made five appearances as a substitute with the senior squad, his last appearance was on December 30, 2013 playing for 7 minutes in the 1-2 win visiting AS Monaco.

Fabril aren’t making a great season at Tercera, the team remains out of the promotion seats and, despite facing problems in attack with the injuries of Dani Iglesias and Álex Pérez, Depor B have scored 16 goals in 17 matches, which is the sixth best record in the group. Now, with Álex Pérez close to return, the trio is promising to add several goals to Fabril.
