Deportivo need to open the door before making signings during the winter window, this since the 25 spots are currently occupied. The first man to leave is Modibo Diakité, but there will be others joining him at the door out.

The club is planning to make two or three signings during the winter window, but before it must close the exit of some players. The reason is simple: the 25 spots are currently occupied and it is necessary to clear the room in order to allow the arrival of the signings.

It means that the arrival of the reinforcements is conditioned by the exits, so if Depor want to sign three players then three men should leave first. The first player that will leave is Modibo Diakité, the French centre-back is unhappy after only playing three official games so far and already negotiated his exit, which should be announced in the coming days.

The other two candidates to leave are playmaker Juan Carlos Real and right-back Diego Seoane. Coach Víctor Fernández said since his arrival that both players weren’t going to have minutes on the season and that they should leave, they decided to stay and will now search for a club in order to have the chance to play.

These three exits will allow the arrival of the expected signings, but there could be more departures. Radio Galega reported during the week that the coach was pointing to other three defenders: Manuel Pablo, Laure and Albert Lopo.

The case of Manuel Pablo doesn’t mean an exit from the club, because the idea is to move him into the coaching staff as it was reported months ago. The case of Laure is the most surprising one, because he was a starter in eight of the games played so far and as the Madrilenian is one of the captains at the team, but it’s also true that lately he has been off from the list of picked players as Juanfran is currently playing at the right side of the defense.

Finally, the case of Lopo seems illogical now though there were reasons for it. Radio Galega understands that the Catalan was one of the options to leave as there were four centre-backs at the team and as the Catalan was a substitute, however the exit of Diakité and the injuries of Insua changed the situation as he was pulled into the starting formation, so the scenery  has changed.

Any other exit should be considered as “not expected” and should mean a transfer. That’s the case of Juan Dominguez. The midfielder is ending contract in June and his renewal is in a dead point, so Depor could be tempted to negotiate a transfer now, actually he was already linked with Sevilla CF. Some weeks ago José Rodríguez was linked with some Italian clubs, but that will be a very difficult operation because it involves three parties as the player belongs to Real Madrid.
