For the third time on his career Diego Seoane is going out of Deportivo in a loan deal. This time the destiny is CD Lugo at Segunda División. The right-back was the only player at the team without minutes on this season.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that Diego Seoane will play loaned at CD Lugo until the end of the season. The right-back didn’t have a spot at Depor’s team as there were other three players for his position, plus other two team mates disputing the position at the left side, a function that he covered at Fabril and also at the first team.

The operation was closed on Saturday as the sporting director of Lugo, Carlos Mouriz, met with Ernesto Bello during the visit of Deportivo B to CD As Pontes. On Wednesday president Tino Fernández announced that CD Lugo are paying part of the player’s wages during these six months.

Coach Víctor Fernández told him at the beginning of the season that the best thing was to leave during the summer, but he stayed and currently the Ourense-born man is the only player at the squad that hasn’t disputed any minute during an official competition on this campaign.

Seoane will now compete for a spot with veteran David de Coz and with ex-Barca B Albert Dalmau. CD Lugo are currently at the 15th position at Liga Adelante, only four points above relegation. He will join Luis Fernández, the other Depor’s player loaned at that team.

The Galician defender has faced problems to settle at Deportivo. He only played 18 Primera matches in three years at the first team (2009-2012), though turned to be a fixed starter on last season completing 24 appearances at Segunda División.

This is the third time in which Seoane goes out on a loan spell. Been a Depor B member he was loaned to Ciudad de Santiago for the season 2007/08. Then, after been promoted to the first team, he was loaned Córdoba CF for the last part of the Segunda camping 2012/13. His contract is ending in June of 2016.
