Luisinho was the player with more minutes, Cavaleiro was the only one that played the 19 games in the first round. Fariña was the player with the best passing ratio and, for the first time in the history, no one score more than two goals.

Iván Cavaleiro was the only player that took part of the nineteen games disputed in the first round in la liga, but he wasn’t the man with more minutes as he was replaced six times. The player with more minutes was Luisinho (1,527), who only missed one game due to suspension.

There were other seven men with at least 1,000 minutes on the pitch: Sidnei (1,440), Juanfran (1,374), Cavaleiro (1,273), Medunjanin (1,266), Lopo (1,260), Fabricio (1,270) and José Rodríguez (1,0008).

Perhaps the most shocking stat after ending the first round is that no one at Deportivo has scored more than two goals, never before the top-scorer at Depor had less than three goals after ending the first part of a Primera campaign. Currently four men have netted two goals: Medunjanin, Cavaleiro, Toché and Cuenca.

It’s a demonstration of the poor offensive stats at the team. The player with more shots in the first round was Medunjanin with 23, followed by Cavaleiro (22), Cuenca (19), Juanfran, (18), José Rodríguez (14) and Postiga (14). Among the players with at least 5 shots, the ones with the better shooting accuracy are Toché and Fariña (both 67%).

Medunjanin is also the men with more passing attempts (648), followed by Luisinho (582), Sidnei (548), Álex Bergantiños (517), Juanfran (491) and José Rodríguez (488).

In global stats at Primera, Cavaleiro was caught in offside position in 21 opportunities. It’s the fourth highest number at Primera, only below Jonathas (28), Amrabat (26) and Cristiano Ronaldo (23).

The man with the best passing ratio and with at least five games played  is Fariña (88%), followed by Juan Dominguez (84%), Medunjanin (83%), Wilk (80%), Luisinho (79%) , Álex Bergantiños and Cuenca (both 78%).  Meanwhile, the worst passing ratio was for Juanfran (67%), followed by Postiga (68%), Canella (70%), Toché (73%) and Insua (74%).

In defensive actions, Sidnei and Lopo dominated the clearances with 101 for each centre-back. Those are the fifth best mark among the twenty clubs in the league, a department lead by Valencia’s Otamendi (123). Luisinho was the player with more interceptions (64), followed by Sidnei (58), Lopo (50) and Juanfran (42).

Finally, Depor saw 55 yellow cards in the first round (the 11th highest mark in the league). Lopo was booked eight times, while Sidnei saw six yellows and Luisinho five. These three men were the only ones that suffered a suspension for this reason within the period. Postiga was the only player that saw a red card in the first round. Deportivo only suffered one expulsion in liga. The only club without expulsions in the first round was Real Sociedad.
