Good weekend for Deporís three international players. Piette and Medunjanin picked important victories with their teams, while Celso Borges left a positive impression in the friendly against Spain.

Three Deporís midfielders are in international duty on these days: Celso Borges (Costa Rica), Sam Piette (Canada) and Haris Medunjanin (Bosnia & Herzegovina). The first was playing a friendly game against Spain, the second was facing the first match in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers and the last man was playing a vital game in the road to the Euro 2016.

On Thursday, Borges played 87 minutes in the friendly game Spain-Costa Rica (2-1). The Central American team left a positive impression in Leůn with the midfielder playing a very central role in a 4-2-3-1 draw, he shone with his passes, including to start the play of the first goal assisting Campbell.

The team already returned to Costa Rica and will remain training there as they are preparing their participation in the Gold Cup 2015, tournament that will be played in July. The player will join the pre-season of Depor at the end of that month and depending on how far his team can get in the cup.

Also on Thursday, Piette made his official debut with the national team of Canada. The North American team is playing the second round in the CONCACAF qualifiers for Russia 2018. In this phase Canada is facing Dominica in a two-leg series.

Canada won 2-0 playing in Dominica and the returning leg will be disputed on Tuesday. Piette played the full 90 minutes as the lonely pivote in a 4-1-4-1 formation. The Canadians suffered some problems before a fast but naÔve squad.

Piette played a solid game and didnít face too many difficulties to control midfield territory, though he received a hard tackle at the end of the game.  Canada will also play the Gold Cup, but Piette could be back on next weekend on A CoruŮa in case that Fabril pass to the next round. 

Medunjanin also had an important role with Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Bosnians were facing a crucial game hosting Israel as part of the Euro 2016 qualifiers. Haris had an unusual start in the game having three chances to score within the first 30 minutes, later Israel claimed the lead, but the locals clinched the comeback thanks to Edin Viöća's double (3-1).

Bosnia are still in a difficult situation as they are penultimate in group B, though only three points away from runners-up Belgium. Precisely thatís their next game as Bosnia will visit Belgium on September 3. Now Medunjanin start his vacation period and will join Deporís training camp at the middle of July.
