Deportivo confirmed that Manuel Pablo will play one more season at Depor’s first team. The captain will complete his 18th campaign with the Galician outfit. He’s the second player with more league games in the history of the club.

Manuel Pablo will continue one more season at Deportivo’s squad. The club made the announcement on Tuesday after the player talked to t the sporting direction. Coach Víctor Sanchez had already accepted the continuity of the right-back defender.

During the season 2014/15, the Canarian barely played and it was even commented that he could become the second coach of Víctor Fernández. Later, with the arrival of Víctor Sánchez for the last part of the league tournament, he became a regular starter performing on the left side of the defence. He completed five appearances and ended the season injured due to muscle problem sustained in the match against Levante UD.

In this way Manuel Pablo, at the age of 40, will complete his 18th season with Deportivo. He arrived in 1998 and is the only player that has lived all the titles as part of the first team. The Canarian already completed 380 league appearances with the team playing at Primera and Segunda División, only Fran has more games with Deportivo (550).

The renewal of Manuel Pablo is the second announced after the end of the season. Before the club announced the continuity of Juan Dominguez and is also working on completing the other signings ahead of the campaign 2015/16.
