The last signing of Depor completed the medicals on Friday and confessed to reporters that he might not be ready to play right now, but that wants to contribute with his experience and football.

Cani completed the medicals on Friday and will join the trainings today. Before the medicals he talked to reporters and explained his expectations at Deportivo, “They have said great things of the fans and the city. I believe it’s a team that wants to practice great football and this means a benefit to me. I will contribute with my football, my experience, quality and everything I have shown in my career.”

The midfielder also confessed that he isn’t ready to play at this point after been training apart in the last weeks,  “I spent six months without playing too much and want to have again minutes and games, plus feeling important again. I must earn it. I have been working for a month, making some exercises, but I was working apart, so we will see how I am.”

He didn’t want to talk about the reasons why he is leaving Villarreal CF, “Some things happened before going to Atletico [loan spell in January] and well… it was the best, they didn’t want me there and nothing happens. I won’t talk of that right now”

The Aragonian man expects that Depor can achieve the permanence and could liver a quitter season compared to the previous year, “Within the last years Depor have suffered to achieve the permanence and later be more quiet, but each year things are different and we have made good signings, so I am hoping to have a more tranquil season.”

It also called the attention the fact that he mentioned a conversation with Víctor Sánchez as part of the decision to sign for Depor, “I don’t have any partner that has been here before but I talked to the coach, yes there was a strong interest from other clubs, but I just talked to the coach.”

Finally, Cani doesn’t have a problem in playing on the wings or in the playmaker’s role, “I don’t know. The coach will decide. I’m careless if I have to play on the wings or at the centre, though lately I have been playing on the wings.”
