The pre-season of Deportivo continues. The pace in the third week was lower compared to the second week, basically because the team played two friendly games. Juanfran joined the group, while Sidnei and Cani trained apart.

The evolution continues in the pre-season of Deportivo. As part of the plan the pace was lower in this week compared to the stage in Guitiriz. The team completed seven trainings in the week and only two meant exhausting sessions for the players. The other characteristic in the period is that coach Víctor Sánchez recovered almost all the injured players.

On Monday the training session was divided in two parts, the first was a session with a physical routine and in the second the team was divided in two groups with some players practicing how to keep the ball possession and the other was executing tactical exercises under the supervision of the coach.

On Tuesday there was a double session, the first took place in the morning and was the hardest one on the week with the team following a physical routine including a strength test, in the afternoon there was a tactical training that ended with a training match.

For Wednesday there was only one training in the morning, which was a soft session, as the team played the fourth friendly match in the pre-season visiting Segunda club SD Ponferradina. Depor won that game thanks to a goal scored by Luis Alberto (0-1).

On Thursday there was only a recovery session after the trip to Ponferrada and on Friday the session was more intense with a series of physical tests (this was the second more intense session during the week). The session on Saturday’s morning was more calmed as the team played in the afternoon against CD Lugo, which turned to be the only defeat so far in the pre-season (0-1).

The good news in the week is that the major part of the players dragging physical problems surpassed their problems. Manuel Pablo, with a hamstring injury, is the only player that remains out, though the week ended with striker Dani Iglesias suffering an ankle sprain during the friendly game against CD Lugo. He only spent 17 minutes on the pitch.

Sergio Teles (muscle), Miguel Cardoso (nose fracture), and Álvaro Queijeiro (hamstring) surpassed their problems, though in the case of Cardoso he skipped the two friendly matches played in the week as a precaution.

In the previous week Depor’s first team was training with 26 players, and three more joined the work on this period. Juanfran is training with the group since Monday and had minutes in the friendly games against SD Ponferradina and CD Lugo. Meanwhile Sidnei Rechel and Cani joined the work at the end of the week and are training apart as they aren’t ready to bear the same physical charge of the rest of the team.
