Fede Cartabia completed the medicals on Monday. The Argentine told to reporters that he is optimistic about Depor’s project and that he learned a lot from last season’s disaster at Córdoba CF.

On Monday Deportivo confirmed the signing of Fede Cartabia. The Argentine player completed the medicals and the club announced his arrival on loan for one season. The player addressed the media and will join the trainings tomorrow.

He said that the Depor’s project attracted his attention and that it pushed him to accept the deal, "I chose Deportivo for the good project that they are building up, I think it can mark my career. I'm young, I have to keep learning to get on with my growth, so I hope to give my best version at Depor. I like the project, the coach is very young and is very good with the players.”

About the disappointing season of Córdoba CF, which caused their relegation in the previous campaign, he said that it was a lesson to him, “I learned how to suffer and that it cannot get worse. After been in that ugly place, the bottom place, you learn from those situations, so it won’t happen again. With the players that we have now, I guess that this year things are going to be more easy”

There’s uncertainty about the position in which Cartabia will play, he said that Víctor is the one that will decide it, “I will adapt to any position in which the coach wants to put me. I am ready for orders. Everything happened really fast and I didn’t talk to him; I guess he was alert about the interest.”

Finally, Cartabia said that he’s physically ready to play on Wednesday against Real Oviedo, “I spent three weeks training with Valencia. I’m fine physically and waiting for orders. I came in order to be one more player and add things.”
