36 players had minutes during the 10 friendly matches disputed in the pre-season. Depor only lost two times and in both opportunities it occurred facing Segunda clubs. Laure was the player with more minutes within the period.

Deportivo played ten friendly games during the pre-season 2015/16, four of those meetings were against Segunda clubs while two were against Primera team from other countries. The Galicians didn’t concede a goal facing the Primera teams after a goalless draw visiting Swansea City (August 01) and the 1-0 victory over SC Braga in the Teresa Herrera (August 08).

However the results weren’t so good facing the Segunda clubs. Depor only won one of these four meetings and it was for the visit to SD Ponferradina (0-1, July 22), later it clinched a 0-0 draw visiting English Huddersfield Town (July 27) and lost against CD Lugo (1-0, July 25) and against Real Oviedo (2-1, August 05).

The remaining four games were facing lower league teams and all of them ended in a victory for Los Blanquiazules: 0-3 at Club Silva (July 10), 1-3 at Racing de Ferrol (July 15), 0-3 at Racing Club Vilalbés (July 17) and 0-4 at Galicia de Mugardos (August 12).

Depor presented a solid defense in the pre-season as it only conceded four goals, but it was also poor in offense as it only scored 16 goals. A curiosity is that only five of those goals were netter in the first halves of the games (31%).

As it’s normal during a pre-season the coach tested several players. 36 men had minutes during the ten friendly games disputed within the period. The only two players that didn’t dispute any minute were Manuel Pablo, who was injured, and Celso Borges, who joined the group late. Meanwhile eight academy players had the chance to play with the first team.

The player with more minutes was right-back Laure (522), followed by left-back Saúl García (484) and centre midfielder Juan Dominguez (482), the latter was the only player that took part of the ten matches of the pre-season.

The academy players with more participation with the first team were centre-back Róber Suárez and winger Óscar García. The first played 402 minutes distributed in 7 games, while the second had 397 in 8 presentations.

Róber was one of the two players that scored twice in the pre-season, the other was striker Luis Fernández, the other twelve goals were netter by twelve different players, while the only men with two assists were striker Dani Iglesias and winger/full-back Luisinho.
