Four players are out of the visit to Mestalla, while Luisinho returns after his suspension. The rival is still celebrating the qualification to the Champions League and is missing two players for the game against Depor.

Things returned to normal mode on this week as Luisinho rejoined the trainings after his four-day suspension. The Portuguese has been training with normality throughout the week and is a candidate to perform on the left wing for the visit to Valencia CF (Mestalla, Sunday, 20h30 CET).

Also, on Tuesday, new signings goalkeeper Manu and striker Jonathan Rodríguez trained for the first time with the first time. Both are available for the coach and at least the first will be picked for Sunday’s game as the Asturian is going to be the substitute keeper.

And it’s that Fabricio Agosto remains sidelined. The Canarian goalie started to work on the pitch during this week, training apart from his team mates on Tuesday and completing part of the session on Wednesday and Thursday, it is a step forward in his recovery process, though it isn’t clear if he will be available for the next game.

But there were bad news too. Oriol Riera picked a hamstring injury on his left leg during Wednesday. The scans confirmed a hamstring strain injury and the striker should remain sidelined for three weeks.

There are other two players that won’t be available for Sunday. One is right-back Manuel Pablo, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. The other is winger/playmaker Fede Cartabia. He is ineligible as Depor won’t pay the fee stipulated in his loan contract coming from Valencia CF.

The rest of the squad is fit to play, including Albert Lopo; the centre back suffered an injury on the Soleus muscle of his right leg and skipped Tuesdays training, but one day later the Catalan was already fine and joined the work.

At Valencia CF, there was a big joy on this week after the team eliminated AS Monaco (agg. 4-3) and qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage, which will mean to cash at least €15 million just for taking part of the tournament.  Now the club could move to make the big signings that are expected, especially the replacement of Nicolás Otamendi at the centre of the defence.

Coach Nuno Espirito Santo has the casualties of midfielder André Gomez and goalkeeper Diego Alvés. The first suffered a hamstring strain injury at the end of last season and is lacking match fitness, while the second isn’t recovered yet from a serious knee injury, actually he will return until 2016.
