Mixed luck for the three international players; Medunjanin and Bosnia are still struggling, Borges picked an injured, but played. Jonathan was the man with less minutes and left glimpses of his skills.

Three players were in international duties during the week. Celso Borges was the one with the highest physical effort as he played 170 minutes and made two long trips, first to New Jersey and later to Costa Rica. Besides, he picked an injury that didnít prevent him to play. Jonathan Rodriguez was the player with less minutes as Uruguay made a mini tour in Central America, while Haris Medunjanin only played once with Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Haris Medunjanin and Bosnia & Herzegovina were living an important week. Their bad start put the team at the edge of elimination ahead of the UEFA Euro 2016 and the 1-3 loss visiting Belgium just complicated the things for them.

Haris played 80 minutes in that game, the Bosnians claimed the lead, but were later outplayed by the locals. Three days later they came back with a 3-0 win over Andorra in match played at Zenica. This time Medunjanin was on the bench as coach Mehmed Baědarević decided to play with Beöić joining Pjanić at midfield, the first was sent off and the second was replaced, but Deporís midfielder didnít play.

The situation remains complicated as the Bosnians are fourth six points behind runners-up Belgium with two games to go. The good news is that they are only two points below third place Israel, spot that gives a chance to qualify (the best three places qualify, the rest take part of the playoff). The key game for them is the home clash against leaders Wales, match to be played on October 10.

The other two Deporís players in international action werenít playing official competitions but friendlies. Celso Borges played the full 90 minutes in the 0-1 loss of Costa Rica facing Brazil in New Jersey. The score is deceiving as the Brazilians deserved a bigger score. The midfielder, and the rest of the Central American team, didnít have a good performance and the player ended the game injured after suffering a knock.

Meanwhile, Jonathan RodrŪguez was playing 45 minutes in the 1-0 win of Uruguay visiting Panama. The striker entered in the second half and had a starring role as he built up the play of the goal. After getting a rebound he ran into the right side of the area and chipped the ball into the box to see Christian Stuani scoring with a header.

He was praised by the Uruguayan media and was later a starter in the visit to Costa Rica. Borges was also a starter in the game despite he was doubtful until coach ”scar RamŪrez confirmed that he was fit to play. Costa Rica won the game 1-0 with Borges playing 80 minutes having his usual starring role at midfield.

In the case of Jonathan, he played for 61 minutes and had a solid performance, including a great chance to equalize the game in the first half. Carlos SŠnchez released a drilling cross from the right in a counterattack action, the ball went into the path of Deporís attacker, who missed to connect the ball at the penalty spot.
