The confrontation with Barcelona and a new edition of the Galician derby are the main challenges for Depor in November. The Galician squad will also try to conquer the qualification to the quarterfinals in copa del rey. Visits to Tarragona and Osasuna will also define if the squad is capable of achieving victories away from the Riazor.

November will start with one of biggest challenges for this season: the visit of Barcelona FC to Riazor. The Catalans are the current leaders in the tournament and they have only suffered one defeat in this liga campaign: 0-2 Vs. Real Madrid. Deportivo will try to achieve its fifth consecutive win in Riazor, an unseen fact since the season 2003/2004.

Barcelona played yesterday with Chelsea at the Nou Camp for the Champions League (a 2-2 draw), and now they are wanting to continue with their run into a new title in la liga. Depor hasn't defeated Barcelona at home since the season 2002/2003 (2-0 with goals scored by Scaloni and Luque), since then, the Galicians have suffered two defeats and only drew in one occasion. A tough challenge for Caparr??s, but it has a sweet reward if the victory is finally conquered: to return into Europe.

Four days later, Deportivo will try to fulfill the qualification to the quarterfinals in copa del rey. Caparr??s' team will visit El Sardinero in order to play with Racing Santander for the second-leg of this eliminatory, the Galicians have the advantage in the global score (1-0), and a draw will give them the pass. A defeat could even mean the qualification, but this must be by one goal and with Deportivo scoring at least one goal.

It's probable that the coach of Racing, Miguel ?ngel Portugal, will use his 'starting' team on this confrontation. This means that players like Munitis, Zigic, Rub?Šn and Colsa will participate on this match. It isn't know if Caparr??s will follow this line too, or if he will continue trusting in the 'B squad' as he did in the first-leg. The quarterfinals in copa del rey will be played until January of the next year.

At the middle of the month, Depor will have a new chance to achieve its first away win in la liga. The rival will be Gimn??stic de Tarragona, one of the new teams in Primera and that's currently living in the relegation zone. It will be the best occasion to improve the poor record as visitors of the Galicians (two draws and two defeats). Nastic is one of the three teams that haven't won in their stadium during this season, the others are Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad.

The only positive result for the Catalan squad at home was a draw against Racing (2-2). It will be the fifth time in which Nastic will play against Deportivo in Primera. The last time that Depor visited Tarragona suffered a 2-3 defeat. It was on the season 1949/1950, the same one in which the Galicians ended in a historic second position in la liga.

And the following game will be one of the most expected matches of the season: the derby with Celta at the Riazor. Depor's nemesis is living a complicated season with only one win in Bala?dos, but the record of Celta is better when they play away from home: two victories in two matches. Without doubt, a special game that Caparr??s and his players already have marked in their calendars.

The month will end with the visit to Pamplona in order to face Osasuna. Like Celta, the Basque squad is also living a complicate season with only one home victory (2-0 Vs. N??stic). Osasuna isn't showing the same performance than the past season, the team has lost important points at the Reyno de Navarra: 0-2 Vs. Getafe, 0-1 Vs. Racing and 1-1 Vs. Athletic Bilbao.
