Deportivo return into competition without injury problems at the squad; Fabricio is for now the only player out due to physical problems. Athletic is only missing Muniain for the match.

No fresh injury concerns for coach Víctor Sánchez after the international break. The Blanquiazul team reassumed this week the trainings ahead of the home meeting against Athletic Club (Sunday, 20h30 CET).

The only player that remains unavailable is goalkeeper Fabricio Agosto, the Canarian has been on the sidelines since the pre-season due to a knee injury and during the full week he has been training apart from the group.

Playmaker Fayçal Fajr (ankle knock) and Fede Cartabia (illness) faced some problems during the week, but they will be available for Sunday. Same case than German Lux, who was rested on Wednesday and Thursday as part of a precaution plan.

One of the three international players joined the group on Thursday. It was Celso Borges, who worked with the group only a few hours after landing at the airport, while Haris Medunjanin and Jonathan Rodríguez will join the group until Friday.

At Athletic, as it happened on last season, the team had a slow start after losing 4 of the first 5 games in the tournament, so coach Ernesto Valverde needs to start chaining a series of good results in order to regain some positons. For the game against Depor he is having three confirmed casualties at the squad, though only one of them can be considered as important.

The main casualty is winger Iker Muniain, who sustained a serious knee injury back in April. It was expected that he was going to return until January, but the player has had a speedy recovery and is already training and taking part of the training matches; still it is too soon to see him playing a competitive match and won’t be picked for the match.

The other two casualties are centre midfielder Mikel Rico and centre-back Jonás Ramalho. Rico broke a toe during Wednesday’s training session and it isn’t certain how much time will he be on the sidelines, though he has only played 153 minutes on the season. In the case of Ramalho he has been out since June due to a knee ligaments injury and won’t return until 2016; on last season he was playing loaned at Girona FC.

Meanwhile, centre-backs Xabi Etxeita, Mikel San José (Spain senior squad) and Americ Laporte (U-21 Spain) rejoined the group on Thursday without novelties after the international break.
