Víctor Sánchez is preparing modifications to the lineup ahead of the clash with Athletic Club. Cani could be a starter, while Luisinho was also tested at the starting eleven. Lux should be available.

The international break didn’t left consequences at Deportivo; among the three international players at the squad only Celso Borges is a normal starter and he joined the team on Thursday after a long trip from the United States. It’s expected that he will be a starter on Sunday.

Haris Medunjanin arrived on Friday, but won’t play in the game, while Jonathan Rodríguez, who was a starter against Granada CF, had a delay in his trip and didn’t arrive on time to take part of Friday’s training, but the coach wasn’t thinking of him for Sunday’s starting eleven.

Coach Víctor Sánchez is preparing two possible changes ahead of the meeting at the Riazor. On Thursday he tested two changes at the starting eleven, the main one was the presence of Cani at the left wing, which moved Lucas Pérez to the centre of the attack and Luis Alberto to the right wing.

Cani was a starter in the opening game against Real Sociedad, but since then he has remained out due to physical problems, so this could be his second match with Depor. During the week the ex-Villarreal man was telling to Deporte Campeón that wants to “feel important” at the team.

The other modification was the presence of Luisinho at the left-back position, the Portuguese has only played three times on this season (205 minutes) and always as a left winger, though it isn’t clear if the coach will sit Fernando Navarro for Sunday.

The rest of the squad tested on Thursday was the same one that drew against Granada CF, the lineup will also include the presence of German Lux, who was rested for three days after been dragging muscle issues (adductor muscle). The training on Saturday should give more clues about the possible formation for the game.
