Alejandro Arribas addressed the media on Tuesday. He doesn’t share the opinion that Depor are living a bad moment after failing to win the last five games, while he is hoping to live the derby with RC Celta.

After the game with Levante UD, the players were disappointed with the fact that Depor were unable to win the game, something that extended the winless streak of Deportivo to five matchdays. Now Alejandro Arribas showed a more positive attitude assuring that the team is still facing a positive situation in la liga.

During a press conference held at Abegondo after the first training session on this week, the defender said that he’s convinced that Depor are living a positive moment despite spending five games without winning, “I believe the team is well positioned at the standings. I believe we are in a tranquil zone and anyone would have signed to be like this. The team has good and worse games, but we compete in all of them and are getting points. Yes, five games without winning, but we neither are losing, so everything is good and to add a point visiting a direct rival turns to be positive.”

Asked about the play in which Depor allowed the goal against Levante, the centre-back admitted the error of the defense, “It is an error that cannot be committed… the ball passed in the middle of the wall and the keeper didn’t see the ball, we allow a goal and they tied a game in which they weren’t creating danger. I believe the game was under control and maybe they wouldn’t get the point without that goal.”

Arribas also talked of the derby against RC Celta, “We all are hopeful regarding this game and let’s hope that we can get the three points, especially since we are playing at home. We haven’t won in the last five games and need to add the three points.”

“Celta practice a game that we all know, they always go out for the game and create a lot of scoring chances. I watched the game with Valencia and I believe they had a lot of chances and in this case Valencia had lesser chances and scored. I believe the score didn’t reflect what happened. Personally I’m willing to live a derby. I am hopeful to live the environment of the derby and let’s hope we can celebrate after the game with the fans.” He ended.
